Rudy Project a leading player at the 41st Barcolana

Rudy Project a leading player at the 41st Barcolana. For the fourth year running, Rudy Project is participating at Barcolana, the busiest regatta in Europe, which for its 41st edition is bringing together autumn yachtists on October 11th in Trieste (Italy). An official supplier to the event, with the best of its extraordinary sailing collection, Rudy Project could not miss being alongside three important teams during the race.

Starting with the Lightbay team, winner of the Audi Sailing Series, landing at Trieste with a VO70 Intermatica - Calvi Network. This yacht is one of the eight boats from the fascinating Volvo Ocean Race, which has competed in nine months of regattas, covering 80 thousand kilometres on all the oceans on the planet. At the helm, Lorenzo Bodini, a native of Trieste, is aiming for the podium with yachtsmen such as Giulio Giovannella, on board Mascalzone Latino in its latest version from the Americas Cup, and Gabriele Olivo from Belluno, the only Italian to have participated in the Volvo Ocean Race.

In the same class, Rudy Project will climb aboard the Esimit Europa, the yacht sponsored by the European Parliament Presidency and Community, which has won seven times in the Maxi category at Barcolana.
But that’s not all. At the starting line, Rudy Project will also be there with Team Bravi – Cuba Libre, which will compete with an exceptional team: yachtists from the ASTRO Sailing Group and boys and girls from the Young People’s Area of the Oncological Reference Centre in Aviano (Italy). At the helm will be Tin Matulja, a well-known face at Barcolana, who has been the class winner four times in recent years.

All the teams will have new technical Rudy Project sunglasses with polarised lenses at their disposal, like the brand new Noyz Sailing, developed in collaboration with yachtists of international fame and already tested on the seas of the world.
From Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th of October, Rudy Project eyewear from the 2010 collection will be on display at the Rudy Project Truck in the Barcolana Village.
