The collection of medals owned by Fabris has in fact been extended thanks to the victories conquered at the European Speed Skating Championships in Collalbo: a gold medal in the 1500 with a time of 1’44’’72, gold also in the 500 metres which sets a new European outdoor record with a time of 36,38 and bronze in the 5000.

The Olympic champion was also in top form at the Winter Universiade where he came first in the 1000 metres held at the Oval Lingotto. The italian champion beat the Korean Lee Kang-Seok and the Dutchman Lars Elgersma with a time of 1’09’’68. The next appointment is scheduled for the World Cup which is due to take place in Turin at the start of February.
